The Central Medical Unit of the Defence Forces have a vacancy for Staff Nurse
Title: Staff Nurse
Job Spec: general nurse duties, phlebotomy and vaccination clinics.
Conduct of Primary Care including inoculations
Hours: Mon to Fri (0830 hrs to 1630 hrs)
Location: Dublin 7
Start Date: immediate
Ongoing agency line of work for the right candidate.
Duties required but not limited too:
• Some administration activities in terms of registering patients for sick parade/ensuring results are available for review
o (Training on the use of the electronic record, Socrates, will be provided)
• Patient triage for Sick Parade
• Taking vital signs, administering care , as needed, for those who may present in distress
• Potentially processing urine samples/FOBs/C & S samples
• Limited phlebotomy
• An opportunity to engage in both Occupational health assessments and preventative medicine initiatives
• Must have occupational health or practise nurse experience
