RGN required to cover Sessional GP clinics in County Donegal.

The Sessional GP clinics are planned, managed and delivered by Donegal Primary Care.

The aim of these clinics is to improve the development of more appropriate care pathways for Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTPs) and International Protection Applicants (IPAs), thereby increasing access to health services, and ensuring maximum ED avoidance, OOH GP avoidance, and presentation at primary care centres.

Please find information/ requirements below:

  • This post is for the Sessional GP clinics for migrant people (BOTPs & IPAs).
  • 37.5 hours or 5 days a week, Monday to Friday. Flexibility will be considered.
  • Two or three months initially with possible extension.
  • Work base: Letterkenny, County Donegal.
  • Driving license and car essential as will be expected to travel within Co Donegal.
  • Working alongside GPs, Clinical Nurse manager, Clerical/ Admin Staff.
  • Previous GP Practice Nursing experience is desirable, but not essential.
  • Experience in phlebotomy is required. Also, knowledge on ECG & Ambulatory BP monitor fitting beneficial.
  • Familiar with electronic patient health record system i.e Socrates. Training will be provided if required.
  • Role includes: Provision of nursing assessment/ triage, case management and coordination.
  • Immediate start required.
