CNM 2 required for HSE GP out of hours services Navan and Drogheda

  • Looking for suitably experienced, qualified and available in GP Out of Hours Service –Navan and Drogheda
  • Full time hours 37.5 in both services
  • To commence by the 29th of October.
  • The CNM2 is responsible for operationally managing the treatment centre, line managing the drivers, receptionists and nurses, providing clinical governance to the nurses and responsible for all aspects of the services such as Health and Safety, policy development, medication management and covering some clinical shifts each week.
  • The service is opened from 6pm – 8am week days and 24 hours over weekends and public holidays.
  • The CNM would work some day time hours to manage admin tasks and also cover shifts during opening hours.
  • Ideally we are looking for CNM’s with experience in GP Out of Hours services who can commit to the role until the end of January 2025 and are available to start on 29th October.

CNM2 we would need the following requirements-

  • significant experience with paediatrics, experience dealing with cardiac patients including assisting with cardiac arrests and experience managing anaphylaxis patients.
  • Experience managing an interdisciplinary team as the CNM2 would be managing drivers, receptionists and nurses
  • Roster management
  • Dealing with complaints
  • Drafting policies and procedures
  • Medication management including ordering, audits, stock control
  • Carrying out Hygiene audits
  • Excellent interpersonal skills as dealing with staff team doctors, members of the public, suppliers, maintenance etc

If a nurse had this level of experience, then they would be considered irrespective of their current job role.

  • May also need a relief staff nurse to cover vacant clinical shifts in Navan and Drogheda. The nurse would need significant experience with paediatrics, experience dealing with cardiac patients including assisting with cardiac arrests and experience managing anaphylaxis patients.
